About Dancing Crab Thai East Liberty

Authentic Thai street food

Located at 6018 Broad St, Pittsburgh, PA 15206, Dancing Crab Thai East Liberty operates as a thai restaurant serving Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Pittsburgh, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. Typical hours are 11:30 AM–3 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Beautiful interior, colorful dΓ©cor, and inviting dining room, the space feels fresh, vibrant, and welcoming.Their menu focuses on traditional Thai favorites, including Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, Khao Soi, Massaman Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, and other classic dishes. The crab rangoons in particular are mentioned repeatedly by both reviewers and Pittsburgh locals as a standout menu item. the staff as friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I had the Crab Rangoon, a Thai Tea Lemonade and the Sizzling Seafood with Basil Sauce. (Sea scallops, Shrimp, Squid, Mussels and Salmon), and everything was flavorful and on point, I will definitely come back again, before the end of my trip in Pittsburgh.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding our experience at your restaurant on Mother’s Day. While the food was delicious, the service and management response were deeply concerning. After a 10-minute wait to be seated and an additional 30 minutes before our drink orders were taken, we encountered a significant issue with the billing. Our party of four was charged an automatic $40 gratuity, which was not disclosed on the menu. When we requested that the gratuity be removed so we could pay it in cash instead, the manager’s response was unprofessional and offensive. He suggested that we should "save room for the gratuity" or "take our food to go" in the future, falsely implying that we were unwilling to pay our bill. He only apologized after he realized we still were leaving a tip just in cash. I paid and left quickly this was very embarrassing and like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Which was so unfortunate because I was looking forward to returning with my father. We also traveled from outside the city to dine here. We never contested the quality of the food or the hard work of the staff; we simply requested a change in the method of payment for the tip. I fou

Servings were very generous loaded with flavor! We had Chicken Pad Thai and their house made dumplings. Dumplings were perfect with a little cilantro on top for an extra bang. The Pad Thai was in very large bowls and pretty much filled them up! If you like extra spice but not too much to where you are sweating, an 8/10 is perfect for you. Overall great experience, we will be back.

This was my first time and my family's second visit. Everything we ordered including drinks were crafted to perfection! Love the vibe and staff. This will be our new spot!! Surprise they have other locations if a fast take-out is what your looking for.

One of our favorite places to eat since moving to Pittsburgh. Prices are fair and the quality of the food is stupendous every time. The staff are very attentive, kind, and will have you wanting to return again and again. The atmosphere is incredible with everything feeling upper class and clean all while being a warm, welcoming environment. We will be coming back many times over the years.
